Twenty-Four Virginia Counties Pass Resolutions Condemning the CCP’s Forced Organ Harvesting in 2021
In December 2021, another county in Virginia passed a resolution to support Falun Gong and condemn forced organ harvesting by the Chinese Communist Party, reaching a total of twenty-four counties in 2021.
In addition to counties previously mentioned HERE, other counties that have passed a resolution since April this year were: Louisa County, Culpeper County, Caroline County, Page County, City of Fairfax, King William County, Greene County, Middlesex County, Bowling Green Town, Port Royal Town, Fairfax County, The City of Staunton, Essex County, Fluvanna County, and Northumberland County.
The following excerpts are the resolutions from each county.
May 03, 2021 Louisa County Resolution:
“NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, on this 3rd day of May 2021, that the Louisa County Board of Supervisors hereby condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the persecution of Falun Gong and the state-sponsored organ harvesting of all prisoners of conscience currently being carried out by the Chinese Communist regime; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we urge the United States government, to thoroughly investigate organ transplant practices in China and take all reasonable steps to end the practice of nonconsensual organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the residents and the medical community servicing Louisa and the immediate region be informed about the risks or travel to China for organ transplants to help prevent local citizens from becoming accomplices in state-sponsored forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be provided to the Governor of Virginia, Virginia’s General Assembly, Virginia’s congressional delegation and two U.S. Senators, and the Virginia Department of Health.”
May 04, Culpeper County Resolution:
“NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Culpeper County Board of Supervisors, that we condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the persecution of Falun Gong and the state-sponsored organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience currently being carried out by the Chinese Communist regime; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we urge the United States government to thoroughly investigate organ transplant practices in China and take all reasonable steps to end the practice of nonconsensual organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the residents and the medical community servicing Culpeper and the immediate region be informed about the risks of travel to China for organ transplants to help prevent local citizens from becoming accomplices in state-sponsored forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this resolution be provided to the Governor of Virginia, Virginia’s General Assembly, Virginia’s congressional delegation and two U.S. Senators, and the Virginia Department of Health.”
May 11, Caroline County Resolution:
“NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Caroline County Board of Supervisors condemns in the strongest possible terms the persecution of Falun Gong and the state-sponsored organ harvesting of all prisoners of conscience currently being carried out by the Chinese Communist regime; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we urge the United States government to thoroughly investigate organ transplant practices in China and take all reasonable steps to end the practice of nonconsensual organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the residents and the medical community servicing Caroline and the immediate region be informed about the risks of travel to China for organ transplants to help prevent local citizens from becoming accomplices in state-sponsored forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience; and

June 15, Page County Resolution:
“NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the Page County Board of Supervisors, that we condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the persecution of Falun Gong and the state-sponsored organ harvesting of all prisoners of conscience currently being carried out by the Chinese Communist regime; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we urge the United States government, to thoroughly investigate organ transplant practices in China and take all reasonable steps to end the practice of nonconsensual organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the residents and the medical community servicing Page County and the immediate region be informed about the risks of travel to China for organ transplants to help prevent local citizens from becoming accomplices in state-sponsored forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be provided to the Governor of Virginia, Virginia’s General Assembly, Virginia’s congressional delegation and two U.S. Senators, and the Virginia Department of Health.”
June 22, City of Fairfax Resolution:
“NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council that it stands in opposition to forced organ harvesting of any kind, specifically including, but not limited to, any state-sponsored activity in this regard and any human trafficking conducted for this purpose.
“IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that City staff is hereby directed to disseminate, to the greatest extent practicable, information to City residents regarding the risks associated with travel to China for the purpose of organ transplantation as well as potential ethical, legal and health issues associated with organs procured in China and elsewhere, so that City residents may be properly informed before making any decisions in this regard.
“IT IS FINALLY RESOLVED, that that City staff is directed to provide a copy of this resolution to the Governor of Virginia and the Fairfax Health Department.”
June 28, King William County Resolution:
“NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the King William County Board of Supervisors that it condemns, in the strongest possible terms, the persecution of Falun Gong and the state-sponsored organ harvesting of all prisoners of conscience currently being carried out by the Chinese Communist regime; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we urge the United States government to thoroughly investigate organ transplant practices in China and take all reasonable steps to end the practice of nonconsensual organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the residents and the medical community servicing King William County and the immediate region be informed about the risks of travel to China for organ transplants to help prevent local citizens from becoming accomplices in state-sponsored forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience; and

July 13, Greene County Resolution:

“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we urge the United States government, to thoroughly investigate organ transplant practices in China and take all reasonable steps to end the practice of nonconsensual organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the residents and the medical community servicing Greene County and the immediate region be informed about the risks of travel to China for organ transplants to help prevent local citizens from becoming accomplices in state-sponsored forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience; and

“NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the Middlesex County Board of Supervisors, that we condemn, in the strongest possible terms, the persecution of Falun Gong and the state-sponsored organ harvesting of all prisoners of conscience currently being carried out by the Chinese Communist regime; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we urge the United States government, to thoroughly investigate organ transplant practices in China and take all reasonable steps to end the practice of nonconsensual organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the residents and the medical community servicing Middlesex County and the immediate region be informed about the risks or travel to China for organ transplants to help prevent local citizens from becoming accomplices in state-sponsored forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience; and

August 05, Town of Bowling Green Resolution:
“NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town of Bowling Green Council condemns in the strongest possible terms the persecution of Falun Gong and the state-sponsored organ harvesting of all prisoners of conscience currently being carried out by the Chinese Communist regime; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we urge the United States government to thoroughly investigate organ transplant practices in China and take all reasonable steps to end the practice of nonconsensual organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the residents and the medical community servicing the Town of Bowling Green and the immediate region be informed about the risks of travel to China for organ transplants to help prevent local citizens from becoming accomplices in state-sponsored forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience; and

August 19, Town of Port Royal Resolution:
“NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Town of Port Royal Council condemns in the strongest possible terms the persecution of Falun Gong and the state-sponsored organ harvesting of all prisoners of conscience currently being carried out by the Chinese Communist regime; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we urge the United States government to thoroughly investigate organ transplant practices in China and take all reasonable steps to end the practice of nonconsensual organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the residents and the medical community servicing the Town of Port Royal and the immediate region be informed about the risks of travel to China for organ transplants to help prevent local citizens from becoming accomplices in state-sponsored forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience; and

October 05, Fairfax County Resolution:
“NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors condemns the Chinese Communist regime’s persecution of Falun Gong, harvesting of organs from prisoners of conscience in China, and use of prisoners of conscience for slave labor; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that County staff is directed to make efforts to inform the residents and medical community servicing Fairfax County about the risks of traveling to China for organ transplants to help prevent local citizens from becoming unwitting accomplices in state-sponsored forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be provided to the Governor of Virginia, Virginia’s General Assembly, members of Virginia’s congressional delegation and two US Senators, and the Virginia Department of Health.”
October 14, The City of Staunton Resolution:
“NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Staunton, Virginia, that the residents and medical community serving the City of Staunton and the surrounding region be informed about the risks of travel to China for organ transplants to help prevent our local citizens from unknowingly receiving organ transplants from state-sponsored nonconsensual organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience.
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Staunton, Virginia opposes any coerced organ harvesting, specifically including, but not limited to, any state-sponsored nonconsensual organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience.
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution shall be provided to the Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia and to both United States Senators representing the Commonwealth of Virginia.”
October 14, Essex County Resolution:
“NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY the Essex County Board of Supervisors condemns, in the strongest possible terms, the persecution of any prisoners of conscience and illegal organ harvesting of all prisoners of conscience and.
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we encourage the United States government to thoroughly investigate organ transplant practices in China and take all reasonable steps to end the practice of nonconsensual organ harvesting and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the residents and the medical community servicing Essex County and the immediate region be informed about the risks of travel to China for organ transplants to help prevent local citizens from becoming accomplices to illegal forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience; and
“BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution be provided to the Governor of Virginia, Virginia’s General Assembly, Virginia’s congressional delegation and two U.S. Senators and the Virginia Department of Health.”
November 03, Fluvanna County Resolution:
